I know because when I started blogging several years ago, I found myself spending money on everything.
Every time I turned around someone was saying that you needed this or that. It was so easy for me to stop what I was working on and go check out the next best thing.
Treat Your Blog Like A Business
I’m not saying that you won’t ever have to spend money on your blog. However, there’s absolutely no reason why you should go broke trying to grow a blog.

Most of us start our blogs with the goal of turning it into a profitable business. We don’t want or have a lot of money to invest in every little tool and resource that will help us grow.
It doesn’t mean that we want to do everything for free.
We understand that in order to build a successful business, we will have to invest in some tools and resources.
However, wouldn’t it be nice if you knew where to look to find the best blogging resources to help you grow?
I know I would’ve loved to have this information at my fingertips when I first got started blogging.
Well, guess what, I’ve gone out to scoured some valuable blogger tools and resources just for you. That way, all you have to do is work diligently on your weekly blogging duties to grow.
As you know, I’ve started several blogs in the past. One of the main reasons I didn’t have success is because I was in a niche I wasn’t passionate about.
It was hard to continue working on a blog when I didn’t even care about the niche I had chosen.
This Blog Is Different
I love sharing my knowledge with you. As you know, I started this blog in hopes of turning it into a full-time income.
When I get to that point, I will be walking away from my freelancing business.
I’m tired of trading hours for dollars, which is what I do with my WordPress clients. I love working with WordPress and I have learned how to use the basics since I’ve been working with it for the past 8 years.
That’s why I love sharing my WordPress tutorials with you. My goal is to show you how to start, grow and monetize your own blog.
Even if you’re NOT a techie person, you’ll find my tutorials extremely easy to follow.
If you want to create a profitable blog, you’re going to have to work hard every day. This means that you need to know where to find the best blogging tools and resources quickly and easily.
Setting Up Your Blog On The Proper Foundation
One of the biggest mistakes that so many new bloggers make is starting their blog on a free platform. I understand you don’t want to spend money on blogging until you are able to make money.
However, this is the wrong mentality. It’s important to start thinking of your blog as a business, even before it makes any money.
This means that you should be willing to invest in setting your blog up on the right foundation.
Don’t sweat it, it’s not hard. The best part is that it won’t break the bank. Yes, it’s going to cost you some money, but you can’t expect to do everything for free.
Read my tutorial on getting your blog set up on SiteGround. It will walk you through on the steps you need to take to get your blog set up on a reputable hosting account.
Don’t believe me, just check out some of these posts that I found in some of the Facebook groups that I belong to. People are complaining because their renewal fee is a lot bigger than when they started their blog.
When I started this blog, I knew that I was in it for the long haul. So I went ahead and paid for 3 years of hosting in advance.
The reason I did this was because 3 years is enough time to get my blog profitable and at that point, I’ll decide whether I’ll stay with SiteGround or move to another hosting account?
Once you have your new blog set up, it’s time to start working on growing it. After all, one of the biggest mistakes I made was waiting 5 months before I started my blog promotion.
Don’t worry, I am going to help you grow your blog along the way. As you know, I’m not a traffic expert, but I can share what I’m doing to grow this one.
In fact, I share what I am doing to grow my blog every month. My hope is that you can learn from both my success and mistakes in order to help you grow your blog.
11 Days of Blogger Tools and Resources
For the next 11 days straight, I am going to share some of the best blogger tools that I feel will help new bloggers start, grow and monetize their blogs.
All the resources will be useful for new bloggers. You’ll find YouTube videos, podcasts, links to Tailwind Tribes, Facebook groups to join and so much more.
I’ve worked hard to find these resources. Hopefully, they will help you with your blogging journey.
My goal is to help make these 11 blog posts your one-stop shop when you’re looking to start a brand new blog. As a new blogger, it’s easy to get confused.
There’s so much information online that it can be mind boggling. So I figured why not put it all in one place. Hopefully, this will save you so much time so you can focus on the important things in your blog business.
Once the 11-day series is over, I’ll link to the whole series right on this post. This will make it easy for you to find everything you need, regardless of what you’re looking for.
What To Do With These Resources
Feel free to use all these resources to help you grow your blog. While I can’t guarantee that you’ll need all of them to help you grow.
It’s nice knowing that you can find all these resources in one place.
You’re still going to have to put in the hard work of growing your blog. Having access to all these links and resources aren’t going to grow your blog.
It’s up to you to work hard and work on your blog each and every day.
Final Take Away
Growing a blog is hard. Once you learn the basics of WordPress, you’ll know enough to run a WordPress blog. The hard work comes when you’re trying to build your blog audience.
If you’re completely new to WordPress and are just starting, I’ve put together a checklist that you should follow when you start your blog. You will be able to work through the entire checklist to make sure that you’re setting up a great foundation for your blog.
Ask any blogger and they’ll tell you that it doesn’t happen overnight. Keep working towards your blogging goals and eventually, you’ll look back and realize what you’ve created online.
