Are you considering starting a blog, but not sure how to go about it. WordPress can be confusing, heck it took me over 8 hours to set up my first self-hosted WordPress blog back in the day. That’s why I wanted to put together a resource of 7 bloggers who show you how to build a website you love.
One of the most challenging things for new bloggers is learning the basics of blogging. So much goes into creating a successful blog, I don’t want you to have to struggle with it.
Quick Story
I remember the very first time I sat down to start my very site back in 2005. It was an exciting time, I could just taste the taste of sweet victory of success and see all the money that my blog was going to make online.

Everyday, I’d wake up and work hard. Yet, I never had success. Back then I was looking for instant overnight success that whenever a new program or course came out that promised me overnight success, I would purchase it.
Then when that didn’t work or was taking too long. I was off in search of the next best thing. No wonder I never had success, I was never willing to stick with something long enough.
Today, I’ve realized that no matter which program I buy, it doesn’t guarantee success. I’m going to have to work hard and stay persistent to reach my goals.
As you know, the techie stuff now comes easily to me. It wasn’t always like this, I used to struggle with learning WordPress. I’ve been working with WordPress for over 8 years.
I am in the process of moving away from my WordPress freelancing business and turning this blog into a full-time business. I am sharing my own WordPress tutorials for beginners as well as my own online blogging journey.
Because I know how challenging it can be to get started with WordPress. Everyone says that it’s not rocket science, and it’s not. But if you’ve never worked with WordPress or tried to grow a blog, it can feel extremely overwhelming.
Sometimes it can make you want to throw up your hands and just say **ck it.
Well…
I’ve gone out and scoured the Internet to find some great bloggers you can turn to for help when trying to build a profitable blog.
7 Bloggers That Show You How to Build A Website
Have you ever wondered what it takes to learn how to build a website? I’m NOT talking about the design aspect of blogging. Yes, I know that you want an amazing looking blog that catches people’s attention.
While I agree, we all want a great looking website. However, I personally think that design is not as important as learning how to build a website that actually makes money.
Once you’ve figured out how to create a successful blog, then you can hire a designer to help make your blog look pretty. If you’re ready to take your blog from hobby to business but don’t know how these bloggers will help you learn not only the techie aspects of blogging.

Why You Should Follow Successful Bloggers
If you’re a new blogger, chances are you’re trying to do everything by yourself. You have to write content, create videos, promote your blog, network with other bloggers and etc.
The list goes on and on with everything that we have to do to grow our blogs.
Chances are you’re new to blogging and don’t know how to do a lot of these blogging tasks. Most of us who start a blog come from the employee background.
When I started my blog, I had never used social media. I had to learn everything from scratch.
If I can find a successful blogger who’s willing to share tips and resources that will help me improve my blog. You can bet that I’ll be all over it.
If you can cut your learning curve in half just by spending time on some of these bloggers blogs. Personally, I think it’s time well spent.
Just remember, you can’t spend all your time reading. You’re going to have to work hard if you want your blog to have success.
Should I Invest In Their Programs?
Some of the bloggers that I mentioned do offer a blogging course of some kind. I have only purchased one of the programs from above, which is the Elite Blogging Academy from Ruth Soukup.
I don’t mind spending money on a program if I know that I will actually use it and it will help me get from point A to point B faster.
If you do decide to purchase a blogging course from one of these bloggers, just make sure that you do your due diligence. Invest wisely and always implement what you learn in the course.
Just because you buy a blogging course, does not guarantee your success. You still need to put in the hard work to grow your blog.
Final Take Away
You can’t do it alone. It’s easy to want to hide behind your monitor and just pump out content. However, I am a true believer in finding a few mentors who have achieved what you want to achieve.
Most of these bloggers will share exactly what it takes to create a successful blog. All you have to do is roll up your sleeves and work your ass off.
How bad do you want it? Stop looking for those overnight promises, they won’t teach you how to build a website you’ll be proud of.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes you. As long as you don’t quit, I have no doubt that you’ll see the success you want.

Hey Susan!
I agree with you, you cannot do this blogging business alone!
You need the right education, the right guidance, the right tools, and the right amount of work and effort. Creating a blog from scratch is not hard these days. Especially, thanks to the WordPress Platform, which is super user-friendly. I have been working with WordPress since 2010.
But, I do know that not everyone is technology savvy. Not everyone is computer savvy. Of course, you can learn and become good at it, but some people just don’t really want to do all that. This is why it would be recommended to hire someone to do it for you. Or take the time to do it yourself by diving into these courses and tutorials.
I’d say that Sue from Successful Blogging has the most newbie-friendly training. I still have to check out the other ones in more depth, but so far Sue is helping a lot to the complete newbie online.
Thank you for sharing this list Susan!
Best regards! ๐
