When I Started My Blog

One of the biggest issues I had was finding other new bloggers that I could network with or just mastermind with. I had no clue about Facebook groups, until I picked up this traffic ebook. Once I started implementing the methods from the book, I had no clue that these Facebook groups could be so powerful.

I’ve used these groups to help me land some guest posts. I’ve even used these Facebook groups to help me get some blogging questions answered when I had no where else to turn.

How Can These Facebook Groups Help You

If you’ve just started a blog, you’re going to realize that blogging takes a lot of hard work. If you try to do it yourself, chances are you won’t be successful.

You’re going to have to get off your blog and start networking with other bloggers. In turn, you’ll meet some awesome bloggers that you can network with.

You’ll be able to find bloggers that you can collaborate with. Heck, you can even use these Facebook groups to meet other bloggers and create your own masterminds or find an accountability partner.

Don’t just go drop your links and run. If you do that, you won’t get the results you want and you’ll say that Facebook groups are a waste of time.

How to Use Them Properly

The biggest mistake I made when I first started using these groups, is I would just drop my link and run. That’s not going to help you grow.

Sure you might get some people to share your content. But from my personal experience, I noticed that the feeds move pretty quickly on share days. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t share your post, it just means that you shouldn’t be using this method as the sole means of driving traffic to your blog.

Take the time to answer other people’s questions. Help out and serve as many people as you can. These groups were set up to make it easy for bloggers to help each other grow. As long as you use these groups the right way, I have no doubt that you can benefit from them.

    Hey Susan!

    What a list!

I really like facebook groups. They are a great place to network with like minded people. And this is great for the active bloggers. The more you interact, help, engage, and reciprocate, the more exposure you can get for your blog and online brand.

There are millions of people on such blogs, it’s amazing!

I haven’t joined a few of these (yet).

Thank you for sharing this Susan!

    Best regards! ๐Ÿ˜€

I wanted to thank you for sharing this because I would never have thought of all the possibilities. I do not get involved nearly as much as I should be and all that needs to change. I think it takes time to understand that not everyone blogging in the same niche is competition. I also see that you have other great articles that I can learn from. For one thing I have way to many plugins that are not doing my blog any good and need to be removed or changed. I do have Wordfence Security which I like a lot and of course Yost SEO. As you can tell, I enjoyed the article and have book marked it to refer back to.

    Hi William,

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the article. I personally believe there’s enough room for everyone to have success.

I also love using Yoast SEO and use it to help me optimize my blog posts.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.

    Have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚

    Susan
