As you know, I started this blog to move away from my WordPress freelancing business. Growing this blog has been one of the hardest things I have done. The techie side of blogging comes easier to me than the promotional side of blogging.
However, without promoting our blogs, we will never see the success that we desire.
If you are a brand new blogger, these podcasts will help you keep blogging even when you feel like giving up.
Why Subscribe To Podcasts
As a new blogger, there’s always so much to learn. It’s impossible to learn everything on our own. Sure you could read books and buy courses, which I have done.
However, I have found that listening to podcasts has helped me improve my blogging skills. Plus these podcasts give me inspiration and the motivation to continue working towards my goals when I need a little bit of a push.
How I Use Podcasts
I have to admit, I didn’t always listen to podcasts. I never had the time nor the desire to find any online. Since I love walking 3-5 miles per day, I have started listening to podcasts.
Listening to podcasts while I walk has helped me soak in some blogging education while not having to take time away from my blogging tasks.
As a new blogger, there’s so much to do to grow your blog. If you’re like me, then you’re trying to write content, create videos, promotion your blog and etc.
You do everything by yourself. I know I’m still doing everything by myself. This means that I can’t take time out of my busy schedule to listen to podcasts.
That’s why I recommend listening to podcasts while you’re away from your computer. At some point during the day you should be taking a break or driving to your job.
It doesn’t matter when or how you listen to podcasts. The important thing is that you want to take the time to listen to some that will not only inspire you. But some that will teach you what it takes to become a successful blogger.
6 Best Podcasts of All Time
These are my favorite podcasts to listen to. I realize that you may not find them as helpful and inspiring as I do. However, I do believe that you will get something out of them.
ProBlogger Podcast
I absolutely love the ProBlogger podcast. I listen to them at least 2x per week. It never ceases to amaze me that I always take away something positive from listening to Darren’s podcasts.
The great thing that I love about Darren’s podcasts is that he tells you straight up what it takes to build a profitable blog. There are no shortcuts, just good ole consistent work.
If you haven’t subscribed to the ProBlogger podcasts, you can do so here.
My Favorite ProBlogger Podcast Episode
While there are several episodes that I love. If I had to break it down and share my favorite episode, it would be episode #204. Darren talks about how ordinary things will lead to extraordinary results.
It’s such a motivational episode, especially if you’re starting to think that you’re not growing fast enough. Which as a new blogger it isn’t hard to go down that thought path. Because most new bloggers tend to believe that they are not doing enough to grow their blogs.
Smart Passive Income Podcast
Of course we can’t talk about blogging and creating a passive income lifestyle without talking about Pat Flynn’s’ Smart Passive Income podcasts. You can subscribe here.
While I don’t listen to this podcast every week. I have used it to help me learn more about improving my YouTube channel. If you need that extra little bit of help with WordPress subscribe to my YouTube channel here.
I still have a lot to learn when it comes to getting more traffic from YouTube. Pat shares tons of great information that will help you improve your blog. It’s definitely worth a listen.
My Favorite Smart Passive Income Podcast Episode
I don’t know about you, but I love hearing stories about failures that turned to success. I guess that’s why I love listening to SPI Episode #250.
You’ll hear stories from real people who have failed before but have managed to create something amazing.
We’ve all failed before, at least I know that I have. So listening to other people’s journeys motivates me to keep going. Unfortunately, failure is a part of life. This doesn’t mean that you can’t succeed as an entrepreneur.
It just means that you’re going to have to dig deep and figure out what’s working and what isn’t. That’s what I’ve personally done with this blog.
As you know, I’ve failed in several online ventures and blogs. Nothing has worked in the past and I didn’t actually enjoy it.
This blog is different. It’s growing and I am loving what I do. I’ve definitely learned from my mistakes in the past and am working hard on growing this blog.
Online Marketing Made Easy By Amy Porterfield
If you’re like me, you’re not a marketing expert. You may need help with breaking down complicated tasks when it comes to SEO, social media and lead generation. Well, Amy’s got your back with her podcast Online Marketing Made Easy.
My Favorite Episode
In the past, I was always buying things and suffered from the shiny object syndrome. For some reason I thought that I didn’t have success because I didn’t have the right tools or software.
Whenever a new course or product came out that promised me awesome results. I would jump on board because I was scared of missing out. Today, I have realized that it’s not about the tools and software it’s about consistency and hard work. (yes I still use some tools and software, but I don’t spend a lot of money on them)
I’ve finally figured out what it takes to create a successful blog. If you suffer from the same thing that I used to suffer from you definitely need to listen to episode #152. This episode will save you time and money, so you don’t go chasing anything and everything that promises to help you build your blog.
Achieve Your Goals By Hal Elrod
I started listening to Hal’s Achieve Your Goals podcast once I purchased his book The Miracle Morning. As bloggers, there’s always so much to do.
Hal’s podcast will help you achieve your blogging goals or any other goals you set. If you’ve been having trouble reaching your goals, this podcast will give you practical ideas you can start implementing to improve your productivity.
My Favorite Episode
I am a huge such a huge Tony Robbins fan. This episode will help you learn from successful people who know how to achieve goals in their life. I make it a point to listen to episode #128 at least once a month.
The Blogging Millionaire
I first learned about Brandon Gaille when I stumbled upon one of his pins on Pinterest, I was hooked on his podcasts. His podcast The Blog Millionaire is amazing and I could literally sit and listen for hours. He shares valuable information on blogging, content marketing, social media, Internet marketing and how to make money.
My Favorite Episode
I have listened to several episodes and have found them all to be helpful. If I had to recommend one to listen to that will help you become a better blogger. I would recommend episode #70 The Seven Core Essentials to Invest In Your Blog.
Just Keep Blogging
Kim Anderson is a mom blogger and shares some great inspirational podcasts. I heard about her blogs when I was in a Facebook group. Her podcasts are more inspirational and will help you if you need that little extra push to keep blogging.
My Favorite Episode
I’ve listened to several of the episodes and I personally like listening the How to Build a Blog Success Story. This podcast is extremely uplifting and encouraging. In the episode she tells us her story and how she actually became a full-time blogger and how long it took her to get there. You can find her podcasts here.
Final Take Away
Growing a blog is hard. When you’re getting started, you need some motivational podcasts that will not only provide you with tips on how to grow a blog.
You’ll need to listen to podcasts to provide you with the motivation to keep striving towards your goals. If you take the time to search the Internet, you’ll find some podcasts that will help you stay on track.
Regardless of what you’re facing right now with your blog. It’s important to understand that it takes time to grow, I don’t care how many income reports you read online that claim you can make money in a month or 2 months.
That’s not the norm, ask any successful blogger and they will tell you that it takes time to build an online empire.

Hey Susan,
When I started my online career, I used to listen to Pat Lynn but later on with the time, I never get enough time to listen to any podcast.
You have listed some famous podcasters who can definitely help many people who are just starting out.
Thanks for sharing the list.
Have a great one.

Hi Susan,
Blogging isn’t an easy job for the newbies and if you are going to launch your blog for the very first time or want to earn through freelancing, you will need a lot of inspiration and motivation. Sitting behind a glowing screen and making great efforts to being more creative all the time is difficult.
Podcasts are one of the easiest ways of getting more attention and also helps you in engaging with your readers easily these days.
Podcasts are great and you don’t have to be in your working chair to listen to a podcast, you can do it while doing your everyday tasks as Susan listens to podcasts while walking. No matter when you listen to a podcast, the important thing is that have you find it useful and learned anything from that audio content or not.
I haven’t listened any of the podcasts listed here but will listen to them and make effort to utilize the information. Very well researched and managed post, thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Shantanu
Hi Ravi,
I love listening to podcasts and I try to listen everyday. I always seem to listen to them when I take time away and go exercise.
You’re right, they are great for people who are just starting out.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
Have a great day ๐

Hi Shantanu,
I am glad that I could introduce you to some of my favorite podcasts. I love listening to them and try to listen to one everyday.
Of course, I don’t have a lot of free time. But when I take time away from my computer to go exercise, I’ll listen to one of these podcasts.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
Have a great day ๐

Great list of podcast shows, Susan! ๐
I’m listening to a podcast right now as I type this! haha
I love the Problogger Podcast Shows. I also enjoy the Smart Passive Income show. There are a bunch we can learn a lot from.
I did a few podcast shows on my blog. But only created a few episodes and then I got too busy for them. Creating your own podcast show is not that easy! You do need the right equipment and editors to make it worth it.
What I’m listening to right now is an episode from RainMaker.FM. Which has a lot of the guys from CopyBlogger.com. I would also recommend this podcast series.
Podcasts are awesome and very educational and entertaining!
Thank you for sharing this list!
Best regards! ๐
Hi Freddy,
I love listening to podcasts and try to listen to one every day. It doesn’t always work out, but I manage to listen to at least one per week.
I haven’t listened to the one from CopyBlogger, thanks for sharing that one with me.
Hope you’re having a very productive week.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
Have a great day ๐
