Hi, Susan!
Great post, first of all. Sometimes beginners ask different questions about monetization, blog launching, and freelancing. I’ll forward this blog post to them because it answers a lot of blogging-related questions.
There are always certain things that we don’t know until they occur. I’ve been using WordPress self-hosted platform since 2009, and still, I don’t want some bad to happen to my installations. I’ve had troubles with the plugins and databases in the past. I can understand that it’s a mental torture, especially if you have a little bit of traffic.
I want to thank you for publishing this blog post.
Great job.
Hi Hassaan,
Welcome to my blog. I realize that I may not have covered all the questions that people may ask when starting with WordPress.
Although, these were a lot of the questions I asked myself when I first started with WordPress and my clients ask.
I am glad that you found these questions helpful and thanks for sharing it, I truly appreciate it.
Have a great day 🙂

Hi, Susan. Wow, this is a great resource. You’ve covered just about all the questions I’ve been asked.
A couple more…
1. How is self-hosted WordPress different than the Paid version of WordPress? I still get to use plug-ins and I won’t have to migrate my blog.
2. How do I get my images to appear uniform for the featured image?
There is so much here, I’ll have to bookmark it so I can watch some of your tutorials.
Hi Sara,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and for adding some of the questions that you get from your clients.
I appreciate you taking the time to do that. Hope you have a great day 🙂
Susan
Hey SUsan,
Great post.
#3 is the thing I got answered early on because I didn’t have money for my own se;f-hosted site and didn’t see a problem going with a .org for WordPress. Big mistake. I didn’t control anything and my old old old site was shut down. That day I made the decision to pony up the money and get hosting and my own domain. Best decision ever.
For all of those that think WordPress.org or even blogger is the better way, you’re sadly mistaken. You need to invest in your own online property. It’s worth it — and people/readers/customers take you more seriously.

Hi Andrew,
I am glad that everything worked out for you. You’re right, if we’re serious about building a business, we have to invest some money.
The great thing is that it’s not as much as we think.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, have a great day 🙂
