How to Use This Christmas and Holiday List?
Set aside some time this week to sit down and write. The only thing that is actually going to make you money is if you continually publish content on your blog. I know what you’re going to say, promotion is more important than content.
Well, you won’t have anything to promote if you’re not keeping your blog updated on a regular basis. I always make it a point to write 1,000 words daily.
The best thing you can do is batch your content writing and then schedule them in WordPress. This way you can focus on other things while your blog continues to get updated on a regular basis.
How Many Blog Posts Do I Need to Publish?
Most new bloggers always want to know how many blog posts are enough? How many do I need to publish per week? Unfortunately, the answer will vary from blogger to blogger.
If you’re a brand new blogger, you’ll want to make sure that you’re writing as many as you can. This will give you a buffer of articles. Once you have 50 blog posts, you can focus more on promotion and cut back on your writing.
One thing that has been helping me improve my organic traffic is to go back and update my old blog posts. When I started this blog, I wrote a bunch of posts that were targeting keywords that we too competitive.
These are posts that will never rank on Google. The past few months, I’ve been using KWFinder to help me find low competition keywords that I’ve been able to start seeing rankings and traffic.
I can’t even begin to tell you how important it is to make sure that you’re taking the time to search for the right keywords. KWFinder offers 5 free searches daily and that’s how I started using it. I’ve since updated to the yearly plan and I love it.
Making Money With This List?
Now that you have a huge list of blog post ideas for Christmas, it’s time to start writing. This list won’t do anything for you if you don’t actually write the blog posts.
Once you’ve written the blog post, I’d recommend joining some affiliate programs or signing up with Amazon to actually profit from your efforts.
If you’ve done your keyword research properly then you should be able to actually profit from your hard efforts. Of course, you want to make sure that you’re writing blog posts that actually make money, this guide will show you how to do that.
Where to Find New Blog Topics
Buzzsumo

If you’re using Pinterest for your blog promotion, which you should. You should definitely be using Buzzsumo to help you find out which topics you should be writing about.
Believe it or not, Google is great for finding some new topics when you’re feeling stuck. All you have to do is type in your topic or keyword and Google will show you some related keywords that you can use in your post.

Here are some related keywords when I typed in “Christmas dog ideas.”
Make sure that you’re sprinkling some of those keywords into your blog post. You can even take it a step further and write a blog post on those posts and interlink them all together.
This will show Google that they are all related and that’s a good thing 🙂
Oh and make sure that you’re using the Keywords Everywhere app for Chrome which will show you a bunch of related keywords as well.
Facebook Groups
Don’t be scared to ask other bloggers to help you come up with some blog post ideas. You’ll be surprised at how many times I’ve seen people ask this question inside of a Facebook Group.
It’s a great way to come up with a huge list of ideas that you can use to schedule some blog posts in advance.
Bloggers
Hopefully, you’re reading other blogs from people in the same niche as you are. Take the time to find out what they are posting to see if it will work on your blog.
I’m not saying that you should steal their content and images. However, there’s nothing wrong with writing about the same topic and putting your own spin on it.
Keyword Research
I can’t tell you how important it is to find the right keywords to start with. Just by using the right keywords, you can start seeing traffic from Google in months instead of years.
Most beginners (myself included) don’t spend enough time trying to find low competition keywords that they can actually rank for. They only realize it after blogging for several months or a year and they are still not getting traffic from Google.
Don’t make that mistake, make sure that you’re using the right keyword tool. If you can’t afford to pay for SEO software right now, then you can always use Ubersuggest which is free.
Pinterest is a goldmine for content marketers. All you have to do is type in your keyword (just like you would on Google) and hit enter.
Pinterest will show you all the pins that are related to that specific keyword. Now all you have to do is sift through them to come up with tons of different ideas.
Make sure that your writing your ideas in Google Drive. This way you’ll have a huge list of topics that you can use the next time you sit down to write.
Use Google Analytics
Google Analytics is great for coming up with new ideas to write about. It took me a while to start using it to help me with my blog.
You’ll be surprised what people actually want to read on your blog, at least I was. You can then use that information to help you tweak and pivot your content marketing to drive more traffic.
Ask Your Readers
If you have an email list, you could ask them what they need help with. These are the people who actually want to hear from you and will eventually buy your products, services and product recommendations.
Take the time to find out what they would like to know more about. They are a great source of information for helping you come up with new ideas when the well runs dry.
When you implement all these ideas, be sure to check out this post for more creative ways to come up with fresh content ideas.
Take Time to Create A List
One thing that I’ve found to help me write content on a regular basis is to create a huge list of upcoming blog topics I can write about.
You’ll get more accomplished because when you’re ready to write. You won’t have to worry about what you’re going to write about.
All you have to do is pull something off your list and start writing. It’s definitely helped me become more productive in growing my blog and improving my content.
