35 Amazing Gifts for Bloggers They’ll Actually Love

June 22, 2018 by Susan Velez

Last updated on December 6th, 2018 at 09:32 am

Running a blog takes a lot of time and effort. Every blogger needs tools and resources to help them grow their blog. This is the reason that I’ve decided to write this post on 35 gifts for bloggers.

gifts for bloggers

Starting a blog is easy and cheap. However, as your blog starts to grow, you’ll need better equipment, products to help you improve your blogging skills as well as blogging tools to help you grow and become a full time blogger.

The great thing is that you don’t have to buy everything at once. These would even make some great Christmas gift ideas, because we all know that bloggers don’t always have the money to invest in their blog throughout the year.

Heck you don’t even have to buy everything on the list. As your blog starts to make money, it’s important to know where to spend your money wisely.

It can be hard to know what to gift the blogger in your life, so here are 35 suggestions. If you like something you see on the list, it’s okay to gift it to yourself as a blogger.

The plus side is that you may be able to deduct it as a blogging business expense. (you’ll need to check the tax rules in your state)

Don’t forget to shop sites like Etsy, and eBay, you’l be surprised at the good deals you can get on some of these items.

35 Gifts for Bloggers

If you’re looking for a gift for a blogger or you’re a blogger or writer yourself, you’ll find 35 awesome things that bloggers really want for gifts and products that I highly recommend.

8 Blog Tech and Office Gift Ideas for Bloggers

Computer

Every blogger needs a reliable computer that’s fast and can get their work done. When I started my blog, I was using a Dell Vostro 230 Mini-Tower desktop computer. This computer lasted me about 6 years. It was a great computer and at the time, I think I paid around $500, which wasn’t bad. Now I am using the Apple 27″ iMac, Retina 5K Display. It is a little on the expensive side, but I love it.

I use my iMac for my blogging business as well as my freelancing business. The great thing is that you don’t have to invest in an Apple product. You can get a PC, which are known to be cheaper and last long enough until you can build or buy what you want.

Laptop

One of the great things about being a blogger is the mobility of our business. There are times when I don’t want to work from home or if I go on a mini-vacation, I need my laptop. Around 3 months ago, I invested in a Apple 15″ MacBook Pro, Retina, Touch Bar laptop.

It was one of the best decisions I have made. Now I am able to leave my home and take my laptop with me. I love it because it helps me keep working on my blog even when I’m not at home.

Computer Desk

When I started my blog, I had a sitting desk. My back started hurting from sitting so much. Before I purchased my iMac, I started looking around for standing desks, because I had heard great things about them. I’ve been using my Standing Desk for about a year. The best part is if I get tired of standing, I can lower it with the crank and sit for a while.

Related: 7 Sit Stand Desk Reviews Bloggers Will Absolutely Love

Fatigue Mat

I love my standing desk, but the one thing that I noticed is that after a while, my back and legs start to get a little uncomfortable. That’s why I recommend picking up an Anti-Fatigue Standing Comfort Mat . Of course, you can do what I do, which is take plenty of breaks throughout the day.

Computer Chair

Even though I am standing most of the day now, I still get those urges to sit every once in a while. When I do, I will sit on my ergonomic office chair. I am thinking about investing in the Classic Yoga Ball Chair, because it looks pretty cool and would help me maintain my posture.

Whatever type of office chair you invest in, just make sure that it helps you maintain your posture. As bloggers we tend to sit way too much, so we need something that’s going to help us out as much as possible.

External Backup

We’ve all heard of the importance of backing up our blogs. If you use your computer on a regular basis, chances are you have a lot of files that you can’t afford to lose. If you haven’t started backing up your computer, you might be interested in the Seagate Backup Plus Hub for Mac 8TB. This is the same one that I am using to keep my computer backed up on a regular basis.

Of course, you can choose a different one that fits you needs. The important thing is that you want to make sure that you’re constantly backing up your computer.

Microphone

If you’re a YouTuber or podcaster, then you need to invest in a great microphone. When I started my YouTube channel, I was using the built in microphone from my computer. However, after making a few videos, I decided to invest in the Blue Yeti microphone. I’m glad I did, because I really love it and it makes my videos sound so much better.

Just don’t forget to pick up a Pop Filter , which will help you filter out some of the background noise.

DSL Camera

While I personally don’t take a lot of pictures for my blog. I know that a lot of food bloggers, fashion bloggers, and travel bloggers need a great camera to help them capture some great images for their blog.

I personally don’t know a lot about DSL cameras, but here’s a great article that will help you find the best camera for your blog business.

3 Blogging Investment Gifts

Blogging Books

As bloggers, it’s important to read helpful books in our industry. I am constantly reading books from my Voyage Kindle and you’ll find books that I’ve read and some that I would love to read.

How To Blog For Profit: Without Selling Your Soul by Ruth Soukup: This is a great book and will put into perspective of what you need to succeed in blogging.

How I Went from 17k to 350K+ Monthly Pageviews : This ebook will provide you with some great traffic generating tips you can start using for building traffic to your blog and grow your blog income.

How to Build an Online Empire through Blog Commenting : Ryan Biddulph will walk you through on how to comment properly so you can build your brand and blog.

Blogging Courses

It seems like so many people are creating blogging courses to help us grow our blogs. While I don’t recommend buying all of them, I do think that investing in a blogging course can help you improve your blog.

I’ve invested in a few in the past and have picked up a ton of valuable information. I recommend the following for both beginning and intermediate bloggers:

Dare to Grow by Sarah Morgan. This course will help you lay the foundation for building a successful online blog. You’ll also get access to her Facebook group where she hosts a live video every month. During this live event, you’ll get to ask her questions and pick her brain to get help for anything that you’re struggling with.

Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing by Michelle Schroeder-Gardner In this course, she breaks down how to get started with affiliate marketing. I’m not new to affiliate marketing, but I figured if she was making over $50,000 per month through affiliate marketing, I could pick up a thing or two from her.

Strategies Worth Sharing How I Grew My Facebook Page from 2,000 to 10,000 in Five Months by Brittany Ann: In this course, Brittany will walk you through on how to grow your Facebook page, which is something that I was struggling with when I started. To tell you the truth, I didn’t follow through with the course, because I noticed that Pinterest was the biggest traffic referral.

The great thing is that I have lifetime access to the course. I plan on going back to finish the course once I’ve mastered Pinterest.

Pinning Perfect by Anna Luther: I picked up this Pinterest course pretty much when I started my blog. At the time, I knew nothing about using Pinterst. This course will help you lay the foundation on Pinterest. You’ll also learn how to use Pinterest to your advantage.

I’ve invested in other courses throughout my blogging career. However, I do believe that these courses will help you get started. Once you’ve been blogging for a while, you can invest in other courses to take your business to the next level.

Find a good email course you can give as a gift. Oh and don’t forget about buying some stock photos they can use in their social media promotions and blog posts.

Many new bloggers have a hard time understanding how to collect the email address of their visitors and what to do once they do.

Blogging Conference

If you have a blogger in your life that has everything. You might want to consider investing in a blogging conference. Blogging conferences are a great way to network and meet other bloggers. While I personally haven’t attended a blogging conference yet, here’s a list where you can find the nearest blogging conference near you.

Ticket prices will vary, you can find ticket prices from $150 to $500 or more. Make sure you do your due diligence to make sure that it’s a great conference and worth the investment.

6 Tools and Plugin Gifts

Hosting

Every blogger who is serious about building a successful business will need reliable hosting. If you don’t know what to get a blogger, you might want to consider paying for a year of their hosting. I currently use SiteGround for my hosting account, however, many new bloggers start with Bluehost.

I have a tutorial on how to start a blog on SiteGround, it’s super easy to get started. Not to mention, it’s extremely affordable to start a self-hosted blog.

WordPress Themes

Many new bloggers are not willing to spend money on a premium theme right out of the gate. If you know of a blogger who hasn’t invested in a premium theme you could pick up the Genesis Framework and a pretty StudioPress or Restored 316 Design theme. (let them choose which one they want).

Grammarly

Every blogger needs a tool that will help them with their grammar and spellcheck issues. Sign up for Grammarly here, which will help you improve your writing.

Desktop Server

Every DIY blogger needs a quick way to set up a site on local host. Desktop Server will allow you to test plugins, themes and write content without having to worry about messing up your site. Yes I use mine to write content for my blog and guest blogs.

I also use it when I am creating tutorial videos for my YouTube channel.

The best part is if your power goes out, you can still work on your blog. Once the power comes back, you just migrate those changes to your live blog.

Blog Planners

As a blogger, there’s always so much to do to help us reach our goals. It’s important to have a system in place to help you know what type of content you’re going to create. Not to mention your daily, weekly and monthly blogging goals. Here’s one that I found on Amazon to help you The Badass Blog Planner: Your guide to defining your purpose, creating clarity, and building a year of killer content.

Of course, you don’t need to invest in a planner and you can just Google Docs to help you out. This is what I do, maybe later I’ll find the right planner I want.

Plugins

Most of us who start a blog are always looking for free plugins that we can use to get started. As our blog starts to grow, we realize that sometimes it’s impossible to keep using the free plugins. Here are 7 of my favorite WordPress plugins.

2 Social Media Management Tools

Ask any blogger and they will tell you that it’s impossible to do everything themselves. There are literally tons of different automation tools that will help you achieve your blogging goals. I can only recommend the ones that I am using to help me grow my blog.

Of course feel free to review and read about all the other ones that are available.

Pinterest

If you’re using Pinterest to help you grow your blog, which you should. You’re going to have to pin a lot of times throughout the day. There’s no way I could focus on growing my blog and working on my freelance business if I had to pin manually.

That’s why I use both Tailwind and Board Booster to help me pin my pins as well as other people’s pins. Here’s a link to get started on Tailwind for free. If you’d rather use Board Booster, you can get your first 100 Pins for free here.

Twitter & Facebook

I’m not a huge fan of automating everything on Twitter, but SmarterQueue does make my life easier. It enables me to share my content as well as other people’s content without having to lift a finger. It does take time to set everything up, but once it’s set up, it’s pretty much hands off. Sign up for your free trial here.

I personally don’t use my SmarterQueue account to post to Facebook. I can’t imagine life without it for my Twitter account.

9 Fun Blogger Gift Ideas

Branded Items

Branding a blog seems to be a huge thing today. The great thing is that you can Design Your Personalized Photo Coffee Mug – Upload your logo or photo to create your custom mug without any experience. You might also want to consider using Shutterfly as an option.

Coffee or Tea

If you’re like me, you love drinking coffee in the early morning hours when you start blogging. Maybe the blogger in your life is a Coffee drinker? If they prefer tea, try buying them some Chai Tea.

Exercise Ball

I love my exercise ball and use it as a way to stretch my back and core when I need a break. I’ve also been known to use it and just bounce up and down while trying to come up with some blogging ideas.

Weighted Vest

As a blogger, it’s important to maintain our health. I love using my weighted vest to help me do squats and maintain my muscle mass. It’s extremely important to do this, since we all know that our muscle mass tends to decrease as we get older.

Wrist & Forearm Exerciser

Carpal Tunnel is no joke and if you spend a lot of time on your computer, you’re prone to it. You might not even consider being affected by this issue, until it’s too late. I’ve had wrist problems in the past and now I make it a point to use my Wrist and Forearm Exerciser while I am watching television in the evenings.

FitBit

I just got my first Fitbit Surge this year and I love it. It helps me stay on track with my fitness goals. I use it everyday when I go for my 5-mile walks. It’s a great way to stay active and compete with friends and family to stay active.

House Cleaning

With my freelancing and blogging business, I don’t have a lot of time to clean house. I know many bloggers would love a gift that relieved them of their house cleaning duties. You could check out Groupon to save you money on on house cleaning services or you could Try Amazon House Cleaning Services.

Gift Cards

Every blogger would love a gift card, so they can buy their own supplies or books to help them run their blog. You can consider giving them a gift card to:

  • Amazon
  • Starbucks
  • Kindle

Massager

Your blogger friend would love to get either a certificate to their nearest massage therapist. If you don’t know of a reputable massage therapist, you can consider getting them a Shiatsu Neck & Back Massager . This can be a great way to help them get rid of those aches and pains in their neck and back.

3 Best Gift Ideas for Bloggers Under $50

Everyone loves gifts and sometimes it’s the thought that counts. If you don’t have a lot to spend on the blogger in your life, here are some great gifts are are all under $50.

  • Blue Snowball : When I started blogging, this was the first microphone that I used in my business. This would be great for a vlogger.
  • Laptop Soundbar : Chances are the blogger in your life loves listening to Spotify or Podcasts while they work. Having a great soundbar can make a huge difference in the quality of the sound.
  • Blogger Shirt : Get your blogger a T-shirt they can wear to show off that they’re a blogger.

Final Take Away

Starting a blog is the easy part. The hard part is turning it into a profitable online business. It takes a lot of hard work and tools to help a blogger grow.

While you don’t need everything on this list. I know that a lot of these things have helped me grow my blog. Just remember, it doesn’t matter how many tools you invest in.

If you’re NOT willing to persist and do everything that it takes to grow your blog. Unfortunately, nothing on this list is going to help you turn your blog into profits.

    Hi Susan,
I love all these ideas! I have a camera but I would love a bigger lens. I’ve been shopping around for one and they’re a bit pricey – so I’m not sure if I can put that on my gift wish list – but I’ll drop some hints to the hubs anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for these ideas! Hope all is well. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Corey,

I don’t really know that much about cameras because I don’t really use them for my blogging business. I did buy one before we went on our Siesta Keys vacation and I loved it because it’s an underwater camera.

I haven’t used it anymore since my vacation. I need to take some more time off so I can start using it. Because you’re right, they are pricey.

Hopefully, your husband will buy you the one you want.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment, hope you have a great weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Glad you liked the list. You’re right our health is extremely important. That’s one of the reasons that I’ve started going on 5 mile walks every day.

Now that I have my weight vest, I’ll start doing squats and work on toning my muscles.

I’m a huge coffee drinker myself. I get headaches if I don’t drink my cup every morning.

    Hi Suzan,
I love your gift idea list. You have completely listed what I could ever ask a friend as a gift.
Computers are really helpful but a addition of internet subscription could be another expensive but cheap gift for bloggers.

If you cannot afford all these I think a subscription of 5$ for internet allowance will be well appreciated by if I was to demand.

Thanks for the list and am gonna show something to a friend in his birthday definitely from this list.

    Stay cool,
    Awogor

    Hi Awogor,

I hadn’t thought about getting someone Internet access, but you’re right. Although, it costs a lot more than $5.00 where I’m at. But I’m sure some people wouldn’t mind if they had theirs paid for a month.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.

    Hi Susan,

I love these ideas. And thanks so much for the shout out too.

Coffee and tea; good to have 1 or both available for early morning starts. Even after my yoga and meditation and ice shower I dig having a little boost with a coffee.

I am valuing a yoga mat these days too. Time to grab one, for augment my practice. Because managing my energy is a big part of what I do blogging-wise.

As for conferences I suggest any blogger attend at least one. I am so busy traveling that I missed all invitations until this past August, when Zac Johnson hooked me up with a free pass to Affiliate Summit East. He’d been inviting me for years but I was always in some far off locale. So happy I went; a great way to connect with and befriend top bloggers, in person.

    Thanks for sharing Susan.

Good list here. Some of these things I need to go and purchase just because. For instance the external hard drive . . And I just started getting g into Yoga so yoga mats would make a lot of sense.

    Great stuff Susan.

    Hi Andrew,

I almost waited too long to backup my iMac. My iMac is now a year old and I just picked up the external backup maybe a week ago.

It’s nice knowing that everything on my computer is now backed up. I have so many files on my computer, that I can’t afford to lose if something goes wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment, have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚
