As soon as you sign up, you’ll have the option to download the browser extensions you can use for both Mac and PC. These browser extensions make it easy for you to work inside of your text editor and run a grammar check while writing your content.
If it notices any type of errors, you’ll see a red line that you can click on. Once you click on it, the grammar and punctuation checker will tell you how to fix your errors.
Works Inside of WordPress
You probably spend a lot of time inside of your WordPress text editor and it would make life so much easier if you can get everything accomplished in one sitting.
Well, you can. All you have to do is download the browser extensions and it will help you catch any errors while you are working inside of your text editor.
You’ll be able to see how many errors you have and it will even tell you how to fix them.
I did run into some Grammarly duplication issues at one point. But I haven’t experienced any problems since using it for the past year.
Types of Checks it Runs
- Spelling and grammar checking
- Punctuation Check
- Run on sentences (Here’s the definition of what this means)
Since I’ve been using it for the past year, I’ve noticed that my writing style has improved. It makes it so much easier to sit down and write instead of constantly worrying about my English grammar.
Using the Web-Based Version
If you write your blog posts on Microsoft Word, you’ll have the ability to do a punctuation check by uploading your document into your Grammarly Dashboard.
Once you submit your document, it will run a free online scan and notify you of any errors that it encounters. You can fix all the errors inside of your dashboard.
After you’ve made the corrections, you can copy and paste your blog post into the WordPress text editor.
Should I Get The Premium Version?
Grammarly does offer a premium version that costs $29.95 per month. Personally, I’ve never had any reason to upgrade to the premium version.
If you’re just using it as a grammar and punctuation checker for your blog posts. You will be fine with the free version. If you’re using it to write a resume or an essay for school, then maybe you should consider upgrading to the premium version.
It has more features than the free version. You can read more about all the features here.
