49 Best Affiliate Programs for Fashion Bloggers You’ll Love

February 19, 2019 by Susan Velez

Are you a fashion blogger who is looking for different ways to monetize your blog? Well, I’ve decided to put together a huge list of the best affiliate programs for fashion bloggers that pay great commissions.

affiliate programs for fashion bloggers

I’m also sharing the step-by-step process to help you get started with your own money making blog.

How Fashion Bloggers Make Money?

The fashion niche is huge and studies show that the worldwide revenue is expected to rise from $481.2 billion in 2018 to $712.9 billion by 2022. You can read more about this industry here.

If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog, this can be a profitable niche, especially, if you can find a sub-niche without a lot of competition. (I’ll share some with you later on) so keep reading.

How to Make Money With Affiliate Marketing

To get started, you’ll need to need to set up your own self-hosted WordPress blog. Yes, you can start for free on Blogger, but I don’t recommend it.

Having a self-hosted WordPress blog versus a free blog hosted on Blogger, WordPress.com and etc is extremely important, especially if you plan on monetizing with affiliate marketing.

Most free platforms won’t allow you the freedom of monetizing your blog with affiliate marketing. If you do go the free route, be sure that you read the terms and policies of the platform.

Be sure to check out my step-by-step guide to starting a self-hosted WordPress blog to get your own digital asset set up in under 20 minutes.

If you’re new to blogging and making money with affiliate marketing, I highly recommend checking out this free course. It’ll show you how to use content marketing to earn passive income from your pajamas.

Now let’s take a look at how to enter this competitive niche so that a new blogger with a DA score of 0 has a good chance of seeing success.

Fashion Blog Ideas You Could Start

As a new blogger, it’s important to find a sub-niche that doesn’t have a ton of competition. After doing some quick searches online, I was able to come up with the following topics:

  1. Luxury Handbags
  2. Eyewear
  3. Hats: Vintage
  4. Luxury for Less
  5. Runway Trends
  6. DIY: Fashion Trends
  7. Street Style: Plus Size
  8. Personal Style: College
  9. Beauty + Style
  10. Food + Style
  11. Nail Art + Style
  12. Celebrity Fashion: Trends

It doesn’t take very long to come up with a list of fashion topics you could enter. Just spend some time on Google and I’m sure that you’ll come up with something that interests you.

One of the most challenging things that most new bloggers struggle with is finding a niche. I know that I used to struggle with finding something that I could blog about.

In fact, when I started my second blog, it took me so long to finally find something that makes money and that I actually enjoy writing content for.

Pro Tip: Pick a topic that interests you if you want to succeed. Success doesn’t happen overnight and you’ll have a hard time writing content for a site if you’re NOT interested.

Keyword Research for Fashion Bloggers

Once you know what you’ll be blogging about, it’s time to find some low competition keywords that will give you a chance to rank high on Google.

I currently use KWFinder to help me find keyword phrases for both of my blogs. This tool is responsible for helping me grow my blogs via SEO (which is the traffic that you want to get).

Here’s a small list of keywords that you could literally write about today on your fashion blog and overtime, see some organic traffic.

I’ll be using the topic of handbags, which are very popular with women.

Profitable Fashion Niche Keywords to Write Articles On

  • Small Backpack: 33,111 searches – 26/100 Green Score
  • Replica Bags: 6,600 searches – 27/100 Green Score
  • Italian Handbags: 1,900 searches – 27/100 Green Score
  • Handbags Made in Italy: 720 searches – 23/100 Green Score

If you choose handbags as your subtopic then you could literally write an article on each of these key phrases.

Eventually, over time, you should see some organic traffic. Of course, I recommend writing 30-50 blog posts as quickly as you can on your new blog.

Now let’s take a look at some affiliate networks and programs that are perfect to monetize your new blog.

How to Get Paid For Fashion Blogging

These tips will help you get approved when applying for any fashion affiliate programs.

  • Whether you’re applying to any of the networks below or decide to sign up with the Rewardstyle program, these tips will help you get approved.
  • Your blog should be live and actually has a few pages of content. This means that you don’t have any “Under Construction” or “Coming Soon” pages.
  • Let them know how you plan on promoting their brands. (social media, SEO, mailing list and etc.)
  • Sign up with PayPal. (most networks pay via PayPal or direct deposit)

If you do apply and get denied, it may just mean that you’re too new. You may need to work on growing your blog and then reapplying after a few months.

How to Get Traffic to Your Fashion Blog

Once you set up your blog and start writing amazing content, it’s important to learn how to drive traffic to your site.

Without traffic, you’ll NEVER be able to make money. My ebook JumpStart Blog Traffic will help you understand how to use both Pinterest and Google to drive traffic.

As a fashion blogger, Pinterest will be a great source of traffic for you. So be sure to set up your business account and start pinning.

It shouldn’t take you too long to start seeing traffic and commissions coming your way.

Other Resources for Fashion Bloggers

I’ve put together a list of resources to help you get started in this niche:

  • 77 Fashion Blog Post Ideas That Will Make Your Blog Popular
  • Picking A Niche Marketing When You’re Just Starring Your Fashion Business

Quick Outline of What You Need to Do:

  • Choose a topic that you’re interested in, you’ll need to be able to write 50-100 posts. Plus it will take time to start seeing any money from your efforts.
  • Go to NameCheap to buy your domain and then set up your blog on SiteGround. It’s the same hosting account I use for a few of my blogs. Pro Tip: Sign up for 3 years, this will avoid you having to pay those high renewal fees.
  • As soon as you get your blog set up, grab a mobile-friendly theme and don’t spend a lot of time on your logo, theme design or anything like that. (those are not the money making tasks)
  • Use KWFinder to or SEMRush to help you find those keywords with low competition. Spend time learning how to do keyword research, otherwise, you’ll waste a bunch of time writing content that is too competitive.
  • Install Google Analytics and once you start getting traffic, find out which posts are driving that traffic. If something does really good for you, make sure that you write more posts around that topic.

Final Take Away

The most important thing whenever you starting a blog is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time for Google to trust you and start sending you traffic.

Don’t worry about making money at the beginning. Your goal should be to provide your readers with amazing content. Make sure that you’re promoting your posts via Pinterest.

This will help you get some quick wins while you wait on your SEO traffic to start growing. Whatever you do, don’t give up.
