This is a basic setup that won’t involve any design or custom work. It will just consist of installing WordPress on your chosen hosting account, after you pay for it.

This offer is only available to people who start a self-hosted WordPress blog and sign up with a hosting service on this post.

I personally know how intimidating it can be to want to start with a self-hosted WordPress blog.

It took me well over 8 hours to install my first blog. I had no clue what I was doing.

If I would’ve had the money to replace my laptop back then, I probably would’ve thrown it out the window.

I know that so many people say that learning WordPress is easy. I am here to tell you that if you’ve never used it before in your life, it’s not as easy as people say it is.

Yes You Can Learn

I am NOT saying that you can’t learn how to use WordPress. With time and practice, you’ll be able to learn the basics so you can manage your own blog.

Don’t expect to learn everything in just a month or two. I’ve been working with WordPress for over 8 years and I still don’t know everything.

How I Learned WordPress

Learning WordPress didn’t come easy for me. Nope, it took me forever to learn the ins and outs of it. You can read my story here.

To this day, I still don’t know everything about it. However, I’ve managed to use my current WordPress skills to start my own WordPress freelancing business.

If you’ve been following me on my blog, you know that I am in the process of moving away from my freelancing business.

I want to move more towards passive income through affiliate marketing, digital products, sponsored ads and etc.

That’s actually why I’ve started this blog. I thought if clients’ felt comfortable enough to pay me to take care of their WordPress blogs.

I had enough WordPress knowledge and experience to share with YOU.

It took me forever to feel comfortable to start freelancing for clients. I always kept telling myself that I didn’t know enough. That my WordPress skills suck.

Isn’t it funny how we let that nagging little voice hold us back and keep us from following our dreams?

Now I am fortunate to be able to work from the comfort of my home. Fast forward 3 years into freelancing, I am not that 100% happy with it anymore.

I started this blog because I want to share my personal experience with you. My hope is that I’ll make the techie side of blogging easier for you.

Plus I also share blogging tips, advice, and resources that will help you start, grow and monetize a blog.

I am NOT a traffic expert but I share what I am doing to grow my blog. Every month I publish my blog traffic growth reports.

As I mentioned, I don’t know everything about WordPress. But I am continually learning and improving my skills.

Plus as a blogger, you don’t need to know everything about WordPress, you just need to know the basics.

Why I Want to Help You

You might be wondering, why do I want to help you get a free WordPress blog setup? No one does anything for free.

How Do I Get My Free WordPress Setup?

Once you’re ready to get your free WordPress setup, make sure that you clear your cache. I won’t install your WordPress blog if I don’t get the affiliate commission.

Choose Your Hosting

I personally use SiteGround for this blog. That’s the hosting service that I would recommend, however, you can choose any of the services above.

Forward Your Sign Up Email

After paying for your hosting account, forward your receipt to setup [at] susanvelez [dot] com.

Once I verify that I did get credit for your sign up, I’ll then ask you for your login information on your hosting account. Don’t worry, you can change your password, once I’ve set up your blog.

What You Get

I will install WordPress on your cPanel. I won’t do any type of custom work or install any themes or plugins.

Speaking of plugins, I know that it can be confusing to know which ones you should start with. In return for signing up through my affiliate link, I’ll email you a PDF sharing the exact plugins I use on my blog.

Some of them are paid and some of them are free. This can be a great guide so you’ll know which plugins you should start with.

Of course, it’s your blog and you can install any plugin that you want. The plugin guide that I send you will just give you some ideas of the types of plugins you can use.

    Starting a self hosted wordpress blog as a newbie definitely can make you break your blog even before setting up and installing wordpress.

    I remember when I started my first blog on the wordpress platform, how I made the mistakes of installing in the wrong place and other mistakes.

    Starting a new blog can be very daunting. Not surprisingly, many people get it wrong. Worse still, so many people who would love to blog, don’t even get started. Consequently, a lot of hand holding by someone who’s been there and done it, is necessary.
    It is against this background that I consider your offer to be simply irresistible! I mean, you could easily charge $500 – $1,000 for that service, and the right people will pay for it!

    As you rightly said, the hardest part about starting a blog is taking that first step. I would advise anyone who is still thinking, “should I?”, “should I not?”, “can I?”, “how do I?” to jump in with both feet, safe in the knowledge that they can rely on you to help them in taking those crucial first steps.
