vlogging camera that YouTubers useSave

The reason that I wanted to share this post is because I am thinking about getting back recording on my YouTube channel and may need a new camera. Plus, I’ve really been been following some amazing bloggers that vlog.

So let’s take a look at some of the best video camera for blogging

What Is The Best Camera That YouTubers Use?

Not every niche will need a great camera for YouTube. When I started my YouTube channel, I just used Camtasia because most of my videos were just on screen tutorials.

However, if you’re in the fashion or beauty niche, you’re going to need to invest in a vlogging camera that looks amazing. If you’re not in those niches buy just want to start vlogging, you will still need a great camera.

I know what you’re thinking, there’s more money that I need to spend on different blogging tools.

Well, don’t worry, I’ve done my best to bring you some different cameras that you can choose from. But first, let’s take a look at what vlogging is and if it’s right for you.

What Is Vlogging?

Vlogging has become extremely popular in the last couple of years. A vlog is a shortened version of a video blog. If you’ve seen a vlog on someone’s blog, you’ll notice that it usually consists of a short video of their life.

Think of it like one of those reality TV shows, where people give you an inside look at their lives

Some people love these types of television shows and some people like David Dobrik has become a huge success on YouTube. The cool thing is that anyone who doesn’t mind being on camera can do it too.

How Do Vloggers Make Money?

You’re probably wondering, how do vloggers actually make money? Well, a lot of famous YouTubers make money with sponsorships, but what if you’re not famous?

Well, you might not make as much money Zoella or The Shaytards make. But overtime as you focus on growing your channel, you can grow your following and earn some nice money.

If you don’t have a huge following, the best way to get started monetizing your channel is through these methods.

Google Adsense: Since YouTube is owned by Google, you shouldn’t have any problems getting accepted into the Google Adsense network to help you monetize your channel.

Once you reach 10,000 visitors you can apply to the YouTube Adsense program and you can start getting paid advertisers start showing ads on your channel. It can be a great way to get paid for all your hard work.

Don’t expect to make a ton of money with YouTube Advertising, because you probably won’t. However, it can be a great way to monetize your channel while you focus on growing your audience.

Once you have a bigger following, you’ll have a better chance of getting sponsorships. When a company sponsors you, you’ll get paid in money or products to mention them in your vlogs.

How to Choosing A Vlogging Camera

The right vlogging camera will vary from person to person. Some people have a bigger budget to start with and others will want to find a really good camera that doesn’t cost a lot.

Here are some things to consider when looking for the right camera to shoot video.

Stabilization

Not every camera you find is going to have great optical image stabilization. If you’re planning on shooting a lot of videos where you’re moving around, this is going to be extremely important. No one wants to watch movies where the video is shaky.

Sensor

A camera with a large sensor will do a better job of capturing more light, which is extremely important in vlogging. This is why so many vloggers invest in a DSLR camera, because they are known to have large sensors.

Battery Life

If you’re going to be creating long videos that are around 20 minutes or so longer, battery life is going to be extremely important.

The last thing you want to do is be in the middle of creating a video and your battery dies. Another work around is to make sure that you charge your camera the night before you know you’ll be creating a video.

Built In Wi-Fi

As a vlogger, you’re going to be constantly uploading several videos. If your camera comes with built-in wi-fi you won’t have any problems uploading your videos as long as you have access to the Internet.

It won’t matter if you’re trying to upload your videos while enjoying coffee at Starbucks.

Size

Are you planning on taking videos while you’re traveling or sharing your days while on vacation? If you’re taking videos from the comfort of your living room, the size of your camera won’t matter as much.

However a travel blogger will want to make sure they find a compact camera that makes it easy to point and shoot camera that catches amazing images.

Lens

The width of the lens aperture is important if you want to capture more light. A wide aperture will allow you to capture the aesthetics for your vlog. If you want to create a blurred background, this will make it extremely easy to do.

Another great feature to consider is the auto focus feature. A camera that offers this feature will intelligently adjust the camera to the focus on the subject. This can be the difference between capturing amazing videos or missing that once in a lifetime shot.

You also might to consider one that has interchangeable lens to help you capture those perfect moments. Don’t forget about the wide angle lens that offers slow motion capabilities.

Do You Have What It Takes to Become A Vlogger?

Whether you’re starting a blog or getting started as a vlogger, there are a few things to keep in mind. Success doesn’t happen overnight.

In fact, if you look at some of the famous YouTubers online, you’ll notice one thing they all have in common. They have built up their followers overtime.

You’ll also notice that it is not their camera that made them successful. Yes having the right camera can help you take amazing videos.

But if you want to succeed as a vlogger, your personality is going to play a huge role in your success. If you’re an introvert, then you won’t be able to succeed as a vlogger.

However, if you have an outgoing personality and love talking and sharing bits and pieces of your life, you have a great chance of succeeding.

Now you just need to find the right camera that will help you get started. You’ll find some of the best vlogging cameras to help you build your online empire.
