All new bloggers want to learn how to make $100 a day online using the fastest possible methods. Today, I am going to talk about a legitimate way to start earning money with your blog. Unfortunately, it’s NOT going to be a very quick way.
However, if you implement the 5 simple steps in the process. You will over time build up an online asset that will continue working for you day and night.
We All Start With A Dream
Most of us who start a blog to do so because we want to earn money online. I started this blog because I am tired of working as a WordPress freelancer and know that there is a better way to earn a living.
I started my entrepreneurial journey years ago. But this is the first time that I’ve actually stuck with a blog this long.
Why Am I Telling You This?
I don’t want you to think that if you start a blog today, you’ll be earning big bucks by tomorrow. The 5 step method that I am going to lay out to you takes time and it isn’t the fastest method.
Many people who start their online venture are looking for those overnight quick success schemes. They don’t exist and if they did, I am sure that I would’ve discovered it by now.
Instead, you’re going to have to be willing to work hard and keep persisting until you reach the goals that you want. The great thing isn’t rocket science and if you’re willing to keep sticking with it, you will eventually reach your goals.
How to Make $100 A Day Online Using 5 Simple Steps
These are the 5 steps that you’ll be taking to start building your online asset. Just remember, it won’t happen overnight and no matter what anyone tells you, it’s not possible to earn money overnight using the Internet.
Not anything legal that I know of anyway,
Instead, the method that I am talking about is building an online asset called a weblog. As you continue adding value to the blog, it will become more valuable and eventually, over time it will start earning you an income online.
#1 Choose A Profitable Niche
While I am one of those optimistic people who think that you can make money in pretty much any niche online. There are some blog niches that do a lot better than others. You’re also going to realize that some niches have quicker success than others.
You need to understand that it’s going to take a while to start seeing any type of blog revenue. But whatever you do, don’t give up.
Passion vs Profit
When I chose the blogging niche and make money online niche, I did so because I have been tinkering in this niche for several years. I’ve purchased thousands of dollars worth of online education, I thought that it I would start a blog in this niche.
Plus after sitting down and contemplating starting a blog, I couldn’t think of any other niche that I would want to sit down and write content on a daily basis. So I decided to enter this niche and I have no regrets.
While it’s true, I am not in one of those niches that do extremely well on Pinterest. Therefore it’s been a long road to my first 10,000 pageviews and I still haven’t reached my first 25,000. But working on my blog doesn’t feel like a chore and it’s been easy to stick with it on those days where things just don’t seem to improve.
I know you want to earn extra money and that’s why you’re considering starting your blog. But remember, there’s going to be a lot of hard days as a blogger.
- You’ll be faced with:
- Why am I not getting any traffic?
- How do I work with WordPress?
- Why is no one reading my blog?
- How do I start building my email list?
- Why is no one signing up for my email list?
- Why am I still not making money after my first 2 months?
Those are just some of the things that we all ask ourselves as a new blogger. At times it can be frustrating and if you don’t enjoy the niche you chose, chances are you’ll toss it to the side and start looking for the next shiny object that promises how easy it is to make money.
That’s why I think that you need to be somewhat passionate about the niche you choose. You don’t have to dream about it at night but it’ll be a heck of a lot easier to stick with it when things aren’t going your way.
Trust me, when you start your blog, they are not going to go your way all the time. Learn how to choose a niche that you actually enjoy. You’ll save yourself a lot of headaches if you do it right from the start.
#2 Focus and Plan
Whether you want to learn how to $300 dollars or $100 online, it is going to take a huge focus to get there. One of the biggest mistakes that most new bloggers make is trying to do so many things at once.
I’ve seen people start a new blog and then a few days later they start their second blog plus a YouTube channel. There’s absolutely no way that you’ll be able to do all that in the beginning and actually make a profit.
I know it’s exciting to start a new venture and you want to earn $100 as quickly as possible. But there’s no way you’ll be able to do it if you’re stretching yourself too thin.
The best thing to do is to focus on one blog or website at a time. Master everything you need to know about writing amazing blog posts and blog promotion before you attempt to start another one.
Learn One Social Media Platform At A Time
When you’re brand new your best source of traffic is going to be social media. There’s absolutely no way you’re going to be able to rely on Google to send you organic traffic.
Now, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t optimize your blog posts for both social media and Google traffic. It just means that you need to focus on learning how to use one social media platform at one time.
I personally chose Pinterest with this blog because I had read how so many people had quick success with it. Just know that it works better with certain niches, but I think that it can help every blogger. This course helped me understand how to use Pinterest for my blog.
Whether you decide to start with Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter, the important thing to do is choose one and master it. Don’t try to learn all of them at once.
Once you have mastered one platform, you can move on to the next.
#3 Work Free Everyday (at first while you set everything up)
This is one of the hardest things to hear, especially, when you’re trying to earn extra cash. No one wants to be told that they have to work for free.
Unfortunately, when you start a new online property, it takes time to set up the proper foundation and start driving traffic it. For some of us, it takes longer because we have no clue what we’re doing.
I recommend picking up my JumpStart Blog Traffic which covers how to do proper keyword research and do the first page Google test. This will help you see how competitive the websites are on the first page and see if you even have a chance to rank.
Without knowing this, you could literally be writing blog posts every day and NOT ranking for anything. This happened to me the whole first year with this blog.
What You Need to Do
As soon as you launch your blog, you’re going to need to start writing content. Chances are you will be the one doing everything for your blog because you don’t have the money to hire virtual assistants to help you out.
Focus on providing great content that is not only search engine optimized (SEO) but actually helps solve people’s problems. At first, you don’t even need to worry about making any money, because it isn’t going to happen.
Try to write 2-3 blog posts per week. If you can do more then that’s awesome because it will help you grow faster. Remember to focus on quality, not quantity.
If you can’t write 3 quality posts per week, then just stick to one.
Monetize From Day One
One of the biggest questions I see asked all the time in Facebook Groups is should I monetize from day one or wait until I have traffic. Everyone’s opinion is going to be different, so it’s really up to you.
This Is What I Think and What I Did
As soon as my blog was up and running with at least 3 blog posts, I joined some affiliate programs. It wasn’t hard to get accepted as a new blogger and I monetizing my blog with affiliate marketing links.
If you’re brand new and have no clue what affiliate marketing is, the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Course will help you learn the ins and outs of it. It has everything you need to make the most money from your blog.
I totally recommend it to anyone who has no clue how to get started monetizing with affiliate products.
Second Income Stream I Added
My goal with this blog is to earn some passive income from it. As soon as I had around 20 blog posts, I applied to Google Adsense. My blog was approved within a day or two and I added the code to my blog.
If you visit my blog it may or may not have ads on it. I’ve been doing some testing and decided to remove the ads from my blog because I just wasn’t getting enough traffic to justify the amount of money that I was making.
Yes, I could probably learn how to optimize my ads better to see if I could increase the CPC. (cost per click)
But I’ve decided to just focus on providing great content and not worry about adding ads to my blog until I can join some better-paying ones.
#4 Socialize and Network
While I absolutely love blogging because it’s a great way to vocalize your opinions and share your journey. It’s also extremely easy to want to just hide behind your computer and no network with other bloggers.
You will grow a lot faster if you actually take the time to network and make friends. I’ve met some great people through my blog and because of this I’ve managed to land some guest posting opportunities which helps me get my name out there.
Other Bloggers Are Not Your Competition
We live in such a competitive world, it’s so easy to think that other bloggers are your competition. I prefer not to think like this and would rather come at it from a different angle.
Yes, some bloggers are in the same niche as you. That’s okay, you’re on your own journey and blogging is a long-term strategy. If you are continually worried about what others are doing or comparing yourself to them, you’ll go crazy.
Instead, put your head down and keep working towards your own goals. Install Google Analytics on your blog to see what’s actually working to help you grow and keep doing more of that.
Don’t get complacent and keep learning and growing. Eventually one day, you’ll look back and notice how far you’ve come and the amazing virtual real estate property you’ve created.
How Do You Actually Make Money?
Your job as a blogger is to provide value and help others. The more value you provide, the more you’ll make. Bloggers have learned how to make money by selling digital products such as courses and eBooks.
The cool thing is that you don’t even have to be an expert. Let’s say that you decide to enter the fitness niche because it is a profitable niche. With so many Americans who struggle with obesity, it won’t be hard to get followers for your blog.
Even if you’re not in the best shape possible, you can start teaching people and sharing your experiences of what you’re doing to reach your weight loss goals.
People love following people and hearing about their successes and failures before beginning their own venture. I’m not really sure why, maybe it’s because people want to know something actually works before starting their own journey.
If you decide to enter the Internet Marketing niche, (which is an extremely profitable niche) you can teach others what you learn as you go. As an affilaite marketer, your job is to presell the products and get people to the sales page.
You don’t have to shove your affiliate links down their throats. Just because you plaster your blog with your referral links doesn’t mean you’ll make $1000’s of dollars a day.
#5 Reinvest In Your Education
If you want to become a successful blogger, it’s important to keep learning and growing. Things are constantly changing in the Internet world and if you don’t keep up, you’ll remain stagnant.
Google just had a huge Broad Core Algorithm update the other day and it affected the rankings of so many bloggers. (I wasn’t immune from these changes)
Thank goodness, it wasn’t too bad of a hit. Although I am not sure if I will continue to lose some rankings in the upcoming days or not?
Either way, it just means that I need to continue educating myself on improving my SEO and focusing on providing the best quality of content that I know how.
Don’t Buy Everything
Most of us suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out) more than others. As soon as we hear about a new online course or product, we think that we’ll miss out so we end up making the decision to buy.
Before we know it, we have a hard drive full of digital products that we may never get to.
I’ve been guilty of this in the past. The truth is that you only need 1 or 2 great courses that will help you learn how to become a blogger. You don’t need to keep buying everything just because someone says you need it.
Restrain yourself from buying something new every month. When you do find the right course, start learning from it. Take all out massive action to start seeing results.
When you’ve mastered that course and feel like you’ve put it to good use, then you can invest in another course that teaches you something else you need to master.
Final Take Away
These are the 5 steps that you need to follow on a daily basis to help you earn $100 per day online. As I mentioned it isn’t going to happen overnight and unfortunately, I can’t tell you how long it’s going to take.
There are several different factors that go into turning a blog into a profitable venture. You’ll have to become a master at writing amazing content, promoting that content, becoming an authority in your niche and etc.
I’ve created a blog promotion checklist that I currently use everytime I hit publish on a new blog post. Feel free to use it and apply it to your current promotion strategies.
Don’t be afraid to test out new strategies to see if they will help you grow faster. As an entrepreneur you have to be constantly testing things, it’s the only way you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t.
Be gentle and give yourself enough time to learn. Blogging isn’t as easy as those overnight success stories you read. If you need to make $100 now, here are some blogging sites that will pay you to write for them.
